Anna & Anzi Rivers

ANZA (pronounced Ahn-zuh) is the harmonic teen sister duo of Anna & Anzi Rivers. They are Medicine Music song channelers and Indie Folk musicians whose mission is to create a more kind and intentional world by provoking thought through their lyrics and spreading love and joy through their melodies.

Anna & Anzi are known to captivate their audiences of all ages with unforgettable contemplative lyrics, and catchy melodies and rhythms that bring a healing balm, inspiring the heart and soul of their listeners. 

ANZA is a word found in varying languages from all over the world, which means: the beginning, to take heed of, and to answer. It is also known as a spear that marks the direction of prayer, as well as a pasture beyond the elderberry trees.

Break Through was released October 7th, 2025. It is a compilation of songs written and composed by Anna and Anzi Rivers since they were 7 years old. A UK radio host recently described " 'Break Through has a clear 60's influence, reminiscent of the style and storytelling you’d associate with Joni Mitchell, which is surprisingly rare in artists of this age. The harmonies are a real standout, and the vocals have a warmth and confidence that genuinely evoke that era rather than simply imitate it. It feels timeless rather than retro for the sake of it."

Album features Max Ribner on flugal horn, Choloman on bass guitar and whistling, Freedom Family Band on vocals, drums and guitar, and Sachi Kogure on violin.

Break Through was recorded in their home in the Ancient Appalachia Mountains with the help of Beyond Organic Sound Studios. Album cover was drawn and composed by Anna Rivers, images and album creation was a collaborative effort with Anna and Anzi's parents.

We are so grateful to all who have helped our first album come into manifestation. We learned so much in this endeavor and we will never listen to music the same way again after this process. While we are so grateful to finally have our songs heard by the masses, the truth is the majority of Musicians and Artist get paid very little by the streaming platforms. Meanwhile Spotify is owned by the top investor of AI warfare. We considered not putting our music on there, but because it is the top streaming choice, we felt that more could be touched by our art.  

IF you love what we do, we so appreciate your purchase of our music via downloading,  vinyl or CD, or sending a donation directly to us. Band Camp is also a wonderful way to directly support artists. 

 We are dedicated to our music, by creating songs that uplift and unify the heart and mind.
